Business Programmes

Organised Bi-annually, the key objective of the SYEA Business Programmes is to empower local youth entrepreneurs with new knowledge and skills, to tide them through the anticipated economic downturn brought about by COVID-19.

SYEA will be offering a wide array of business programmes and networking opportunities which will give all participants access to:

✔ Sustainable Business Network – Both local and international.
✔ Mentorship – Market Updates, workshops and mentorship from industry experts.
✔ Financial Accessibility – Access to grants and investment opportunities by Venture Capitalists.

We have arranged a series of exciting programmes, such as online webinars, virtual business matchmaking sessions with Venture Capitalists, closed-door dialogue sessions, local and international networking opportunities, market updates, mentorships and many more! While some of them are open to public; some are exclusive to our nominees.

The SYEA Award

There are six categories, with five winners from each award category. A total of 30 emerged winners will redefine sustainable innovation and champion ripples of impactful initiatives; while forging meaningful partnerships in empowering young active citizens in line with the UNSDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals).

The award, together with the business programmes, are designed to empower both nominees as well as award winners. Their business will be reviewed and endorsed by reputable business leaders and and government agencies. Participants will also be equipped with local & international networking, mentorship, and exposure to potential investments by venture capitalists.

— The UNSDGs

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030.

1 December 2017, Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Junior Chamber International (JCI) and the United Nations SDG Action Campaign signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the 2017 JCI World Congress in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Through the MOU, JCI pledged to mobilize all its young members around the world to take concrete action to create awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and facilitate dialogue with stakeholders around priority areas in their communities.
